What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a deep state of relaxation whereby an enhanced form of awareness is achieved. During hypnosis the conscious mind is suppressed and the unconscious mind is exposed. It is in this trance-like state that a hypnotherapist can make positive suggestions to encourage changes in a belief system and stimulate healing.


What can hypnosis treat? From Addiction to Phobias and everything in between, hypnosis is a great tool to use to help most issues!

Important things to know about hypnotherapy

During your hypnotherapy session you are fully in control and aware of your surroundings. You are not left vulnerable. Hypnotherapy has a 95% success rate. 

Treatment lengths usually range between 4-6 sessions lasting 40-50 minutes each time however this can vary depending on the severity of the issue. 

As CBT counsellors, we believe that incorporating some of the techniques from this method alongside Hypnotherapy, gives you the best chance at altering the behaviours you wish to change on both a conscious and unconscious level

Chronic Pain removal sessions usually only require one session to totally and completely remove the discomfort. Pain is a message that is sent from the unconscious mind to pain receptors in the body. The unconscious mind can identify pain that does no longer serve a medical purpose. Once the pain has been confirmed as unnecessary it can be deleted with the use of the OldPain2Go Technique.
